 Dear Friends,

It’s after midnight in Los Angeles and the witching hour has come. 

It is officially my BIRTHDAY! 

 It’s hard to believe I have just turned 50 years old but I have and I am celebrating in the studio with champagne and the man I love who has had my back for the last 15 years. Thank you to my husband Mick Murphy for making this milestone the most memorable one yet. ♡ 

While many women in the music industry feel the need to hide their age in this day and age, fuck that, I have always stood in the truth of who I am as an artist so I am going to OWN IT!

This last year has been filled with many eye opening experiences both good & bad. I have learned that fools will take a knife and stab people in the back but the wise will take a knife, cut the cord, free themselves from the fools and move forward with a middle finger. I refuse to feed the egos of monsters male or female. Let them starve.

As I enter this new chapter of my life, I am entering a wiser woman and stronger than I have ever been. I have made my fair share of mistakes and learned hard lessons along the way but at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what (or who) knocks you down, what matters is whether or not you get back up off the ground and how you react to certain situations. Pigs will be pigs but wolves don't lose sleep over opinions of sheep. Honesty is still the holiest disease.

Besides touring with My Ruin this past year and designing a new Merch Church as well as several sold out collections for BGD (thank you to all of my Blasphemous Girls for the continued support, you ladies rule!), I have also recorded a song on the new Teenage Time Killers album coming out soon on Rise Records! As the only woman lending vocals to the project, I am beyond honored to be a part of it alongside so many incredible musicians and legendary artists.

Amidst this, I have been quietly keeping a secret very close to my heart which has allowed me to re-ignite a fire and create some personal magick on the microphone while re-discovering my first passion as an artist and producer. Something I have been longing to do for a very long time now. That being said, I have some exciting news I would like to share with you on this special day.

I HAVE RECORDED A NEW ALBUM!

While it may come as a shock to those who only know me as a screamer, it's NOT a rock recording. It is a dark & witchy journey back to my hip hop roots with an old school West Coast influence and it is my birthday present to myself. That's all I can say for now because I am currently mixing it but I can't wait to unveil more about it in the coming weeks and share it with all of you soon.

As I ring in my birthday and celebrate my new album "Vintage Curses" today, I invite those of you who have supported me and my music in its many forms over the years to join me in a toast while I close this post with a (slightly altered) Tom Waits quote...

The Sacred Mood U.K. Tour!

 Dear Friends,

We have an important announcement regarding our upcoming UK Tour 

and a few changes which have been made.

The first is to our show at Fibbers in York on Friday the 22nd of August:

Due to the unprofessional attitude of the original promoter (Martyn Rudd of Screaming Tarts Presents) towards both artist and our agent, this show was almost in jeopardy however, as we were determined not to lose it, we have managed to secure the same date at the same venue through Mr Tim Hornsby of MRH Presents who we are now happily working with. Our last time playing Fibbers was in 2006 and we’re looking forward to seeing all our friends & fans in and around York for a killer show once again!
Unfortunately, what was to be our final show of the tour at Tribal Nightclub in Colchester on the 23rd of August has now been moved, as we have just found out that the venue is closing down and sadly the Arts Centre (where we played last time) was not available. For those who purchased tickets for the Tribal show, refunds will be sent to you via Paypal.

The GOOD NEWS is that we have managed to re-locate this show to The Waterfront in Norwich which is not far away and as an extra bonus, we will now be holding an after show / end of tour party in the venue and in tandem with the Meltdown Club night that runs until 3am.  specially created by legendary guitar designer Grover Jackson for GJ² Guitars!

 The new GJ² Mick Murphy model is a stripped-down, straight-ahead rock machine that looks and plays like a rocket. Made for the “Master of Heaviosity” and bearing a likeness of his trademark =MM= signature, it features a single humbucker with a hard-tail bridge, making it ideal for high-octane, tuned-down riffing. The =MM= will be offered in new colors exclusive to the model. The design is based on the iconic collaboration between Grover Jackson and Randy Rhoads from the dawn of the ‘80s that became the original “RR” model (later evolving into the GJ² Concorde, which first inspired Mick Murphy to take up the guitar. A longtime favorite in Mick’s guitar collection has been his vintage 1980s-era “RR” Jackson model made by Grover Jackson. I have spent the past 2 months quietly creating the last of my dark magic for the year in the form of custom sacred adornments for your fingers, neck and soul along with 4 new and invoking signature oil & solid perfume limited edition sets with scents inspired by songs on our new album  'Heretic Dreams', 'Moriendo Renascor', 'Hour Of The Wolf' & 'Insomniac Moon'. I have also brought back to life a blood red personal favorite scent of mine 'Sacred Mood' which has been requested by many who missed out on it last time.

When Dave Grohl started playing with Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins needed a way to keep busy, so he teamed up with longtime friends Wiley Hodgden and Mick Murphy for the cover band Chevy Metal. Started, in Hawkins' words, "as a goof," Chevy Metal has evolved to become first a regular live act, and now, Hawkins and his Chevy Metal mates have written and recorded new material as the Birds of Satan, a new project that features a nine and a half-minute title track co-written with Grohl and Murphy.

4. Tairrie B. (My Ruin) Before she was the front woman for Southern-tinged LA-based rockers My Ruin, Tairrie B.'s career can be traced back to 1990, when she recorded a rap album for Eazy-E, entitled The Power of a Woman. Shortly after this album, she decided to pursue a different sound, and formed the alternative metal band Manhole, which later morphed into the darker Tura Satana, and eventually My Ruin, in 1999. Today, My Ruin's music is a head banger friendly blend Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Type O Negative and Corrosion of Conformity with whiskey, weed, aggression and religious themes and imagery. The band also features Tairrie's husband and musical partner, guitar virtuoso Mick Murphy. Tairrie has always had an intense voice, which just screamed for metal, reminiscent of a female Phil Anselmo mixed with Bon Scott. Tairrie's confrontational lyrics often attack hypocrisy, sexism and misogyny, while remaining personal, and sometimes religious in nature.
