Bigger Than Satan - Video Interview!

Hey Friends!

On my birthday back in January, I did a fun little post show interview with Paul Crowe at the Classic Grand in Glasgow Scotland where we kicked off our 'Southern Revelation' tour of the UK. Rab Simpson who filmed and edited the interview has recently launched his new heavy metal website which he's christened 'Bigger Than Satan' and posted the video that features some cool live footage of  'Blasphemous Girl' shot by our good friend and photographer Andy Watson at the Slade Rooms in Wolverhampton later in the tour. Enjoy the interview and please take a moment to visit and support his site!

New Collection Online Now!

Dear Friends,

The wait is finally over! I have officially lauched my latest collection in my online BGD store today and I'm excited to announce the debut of two new designs in the ℳi ℛuina Ring trilogy set of wearable art connected through the inner sanctum of the London based jewellery company Seventh Circle Artworks. Introducing the ℳi ℛuina Ring II and ℳi ℛuina Band available in sizes L – Z+2 for men and women.

Each ring is hand crafted in London, England where it is oxidized and smoked to give it a subtle vintage, aged effect and features the Spanish inscription 'ℳi ℛuina Por Vida' which means 'My Ruin For Life'. A true statement piece for your middle finger if ever there was one.

My store will feature info to purchase my rings through SCA along with my original seven band middle finger armor design I created in honor of My Ruin's new 7th album 'A Southern ℜevelation'. There are new and classic shirts, limited edition My Ruin bundles, collectable memorabilia, custom one-of-a-kind designs and lots of unexpected surprises which I will continuing to update this next week. In the meantime, here's a look at me shiny new heavy metal rings for you!

The Music Press Interview!

[Photo by Don Jackson Wyatt @ Moho Live - Manchester, England]

We would like to thank the awesome Mark Doyle and his crew at The Music Press for taking the time to chat with us and edit this interview we did with them while on our recent 'Southern Revelation' tour in the UK. The interview was filmed backstage before our show @ Moho Live in Manchester and features live footage from our show @ Le Forum in Vaureal, France shot by our good friend Tor Burrows of Notorious Design.

Here's what TMP had to say about our interview:

"Many artists often profess to do things by their rules… the honest truth is that few bands seldom do. My Ruin are a rare and welcome exception to this rule and take no prisoners when it comes down to their art. Vocalist, Tairrie B Murphy along with her musical soul mate and husband Mick Murphy are both the passion and creative force behind the band that is My Ruin.

Back with album number seven entitled ‘A Southern Revelation’, the band has released what is perhaps their most personal record to date. Taking a step away from the traditional route, the band made the whole album available as a free download by way of a thank you to the fans who have stood by them for so long as well as a firm middle finger to their former record label. Chatting with The Music Press, Tairrie and Mick discuss their views on the current music industry and give sneaky peek into the world of My Ruin."

Welcome Back Marcelo!

Dear Friends

After a brief hiccup following our 'Southern ℜevelation' tour we are happy to announce that we're back in the studio rehearsing again and would like to [re]introduce our new drummer and long time friend Marcelo Palomino. Many of you will be familiar with Celo from his days we spent together in Manhole/Tura Satana but he also toured with My Ruin in 1999 and again 2008 when we recorded our live DVD 'Alive On The Other Side'. Our most recent collaboration has been behind the scenes for My Ruin's latest video 'Tennessee Elegy' which he filmed and co directed with me & Tor Burrows.

It's great to have Celo back with us. It feels like home. At the moment he's getting familiar with our last two albums and Mick, Luciano & I are all looking forward to playing live with him soon and shooting our next video! Here's a live video we shot during the last show he played with us a few years ago in Los Angeles.
