New Rhythm Section Revealed!

It's time to finally spill the beans.....

Mick & I are proud to announce that Luciano Ferrea [left] formerly of the LA based rock band Beggars Ball will be joining us on bass for our upcoming UK tour and beyond! We met Luciano back in 2007 when his band played Mick's birthday show at the now defunct Safari Sams in Hollywood with us. Great bass players are hard to find and when we began our search for a new rhythm section there was only one who came to both our minds at the same time and strangely enough it was Luciano. We both remembered how he rocked and as fate would have it, everything magically seemed to work out the way we had hoped it would. Luciano is originally from Argentina but these days he resides in the City of Angels and over the past few months we've been getting to know him and what a great guy he is. He's also a killer bass player and we can't wait to introduce him to everyone!

The photo on the right might look familiar to you because many of you already know him. Matt [Frenchie] LeChevalier recorded our 2008 album 'Throat Full of Heart' with us and is the drummer in our 'Ready For Blood' video. Matt also toured the UK with My Ruin twice in 2006 for our 'Brutal Language' & 'Summer of Hell' tours and has played many one off shows with us between 2005 -2008 before he sadly had to leave our band and go back to France due to Visa issues. We've always considered Matt a part of our extended family keeping our fingers crossed he would be back with us some day in the future. When he was away we stayed in touch and stayed friends while he spent some time touring with the French bands Eths and also Headcharger [who will be supporting us on our next tour]. Now we are happy to say that he will be joining us on stage once again in March and into our next chapter.

We've always had a great chemistry with Matt and together with Luciano we know we've got the perfect guys to help bring our new album to life in 2011!xoMrs M

My Ruin UK Tour 2011 Announced!

=✞=Dear Friends & Family,

We are proud to announce our first tour of 2011! We promise we are not ignoring those of you in the U.S., Europe or various other countries. We have lots of things in the works but unfortunately some places are a bit harder to get to than others and take more time to organize. We are currently re-building our team behind the scenes to make 2011 our year and we have many special surprises we are busy working on at the moment so please bare with us as we kick things off with this first round of dates.

It's impossible to play every city in the UK logistically speaking so we missed out on a couple we were hoping to hit like Newcastle & Manchester [because it is too close to our Hammerfest III date so we were told we could not play there] but we did our best to visit a few of our favorites and even manage to confirm a few clubs we have never played before. There has also been a slight change to our original schedule, we are now playing Cardiff, Wales instead of Reading on the 12th!

We will be announcing our special guests soon, in the meantime, ticket info has been posted on our *shows* page and we have made events for all the shows on Facebook which you will find listed on our band page at:

Attention Friends & Fans in the UK!

We are proud to announce that My Ruin has been confirmed to be a part of Hammerfest III taking place at Pontins Holiday Village in Prestatyn, North Wales - England. This roman themed headbanging weekend of metal and mayhem takes place for 3 rockin days in March 2011 just in time to coincide with our rescheduled show at the Underworld in London on March 11th and our soon TBA UK tour dates!

We've been told last year’s event sold out a full 2 months in advance and 40% of Hammerfest 3’s tickets have already gone on the back of this year’s incredible event so don't wait til the last minute to get yours. September 24th!

Oscar Wilde once said 'It's easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend.' Today I write with a heavy heart from Los Angeles as it's already tonight in London and I'm in no mood to forgive either as I find myself once again feeling a strange brew of emotions and a mixure of meloncholy mad which can be potent muse when infused with the truth.

You see, today the 24th of September - My Ruin should have been in the UK playing our first show of what was to be the first tour for our new album surrounded by many special friends and then onto Europe after the party. We were originally scheduled to headline Islington Academy this evening but due to what i've been biting my lip [and calmly as I can for the moment] keep referring to as *circumstances beyond our control* these past 2 months, we were forced to postpone our tour until March 2011. I must admit, it's been hard not coming out and speaking loudly about what we've been put through but all good things come to those who wait and that day of reckoning will come just as this day of mourning will surely pass.

We're working on confirming dates now for March and soon we will have them to share with you along with a very special and unexpected surprise that will blow your minds to follow but in the meantime, I raise both my middle fingers to the assjacks who never had our backs in the first place and raise my glass and toast to those who continue to support us in all their rock loyalty for tonight is truly a night of 'Ghosts and Good Stories' and I would like to ask all our friends in the UK who have our new record to turn up the volume and blast that baby loud and proud. For those of you who have still not got it in your hot little hands or downloaded onto your iPods, go to our music page and stream it on your computer speakers and we will be there with all of you this evening in spirit.
