VIDEO PREMIERE - Excommunicated!

Dear Friends.

It's the day after May 21st and since we've all survived the "Rapture" as promised we would like to share with you our new video for "Excommunicated" filmed and edited by our good friend and long time fan of our band Miss Tor Burrows of Notorious Design.

We've had the pleasure of working with Tor in 2008 when she first filmed My Ruin on our both our 'Tell Your God' & 'ReligiosiTour' UK tour. This time she joined us on the road for our recent 'Ghosts an Good Stories' March dates and managed to captured a few of our most special moments on stage in Bristol, London, Wolverhampton and Hammerfest!

Beauty Fiend Tattoo!

She has been brought back to life after being murdered out in flat matte black, antique gold and baby pink. Her lips are a metallic red and eyes closed in false lashes as her skin shines of pearl white. She is dry and at home again, sacred in her sanctuary among friends and other objects of affection within the reliquary de la ruina. Her head is adorned in her newly golden razor blade crown of thorns and her chest pretends to beat from the bloody vintage glass heart with the metal cross from my microphone stand. She is a mess inside but her make up is perfect. My first muse and my last moment of worship. Born in 2000 and resurrected again and again. She is a saint, herself and a sin. She's been hated, admired and inspired a scream.

She is 'Beauty Fiend'.

Thank you to the lovely Miss Nickie Hobbs for the shout out in the new issue of Devolution Magazine! Nickie rocks and for those of you haven't seen her amazing new My Ruin inspired tattoo she inked on her arm featuring my 'Beauty Fiend' statue, it's time you do!

Check out this fun little video blast from the past that aired on MTV Headbangers Ball in 1996. The interview footage with me from 4:01 - 5:36 is from back in the day when I was in my first band, Manhole. It's taken from our making of the video for 'Kiss or Kill' album EPK and the other interview & live footage was filmed when we were on the October Rust Tour with Type O Negative. Until someone recently sent me this link, this was the first time I had ever seen this so I thought it would be nice to share something from my past with you.

Excommunication may involve banishment, shunning and shaming depending on the religion, the offense that caused excommunication, or the rules or norms of the religious community.

Rumor has it that some people believe May 21, 2011 is Judgement Day and as the story goes, the rapture will begin taking God's elect people up to heaven. I swear, I'm not making this stuff up, check Google, it's true. There are people who actually do believe this crazy shit! So for those of you who survive the rapture on Saturday night, we invite you to skip Church on Sunday and make it a fun day! Come watch the premiere of our new video for "Excommunicated" which we will be debuting on our blog. That's right, blow the trumpet and warn the people because May 22nd is "Excommunicated" day! Brought to you by My Ruin and filmed & edited in beautiful HD by Miss Tor Burrows of Notorious Design who joined us on the road in March for our 'Ghosts and Good Stories' tour of the UK .

Tor has filmed My Ruin in the past. Her work includes our 2008 videos for "Me Without You" & "Slide You The Horn" filmed in Birmingham while on the 'Tell Your God Tour' and "Rock & Roll Hoochie Koo" filmed on our 'ReligiosiTour'. She is amazingly talented and creative and we can't wait for you to view her latest rock masterpiece, so save the date and let the countdown to "Excommunicated Day" begin but in the meantime, before the big reveal, here's a little teaser shot preview for you now....

UK TOUR MOVIE!

ATTENTION FRIENDS!

We are excited to debut our new tour movie which was filmed on our recent visit to the UK. Mick edited this video in a black & white classic style keeping with the theme and vibe of our new album artwork and studio movies. If you were there and you're in it, or you just dig it, make sure to share it!

Thank you again to all our friends and fans and to our special guests Headcharger & Sanctorum for sharing the stages with us. We had a blast with everyone and made some great memories! It was wonderful celebrating our 11 year anniversary of making music with Mick in My Ruin, in London with everyone and the after party was amazing! Another night to always remember and talk about for years to come. Thanks to our tour family, Luciano Ferrea, Matt LeChevalier, Jack Osborne, Tor Burrows, Elly Daw and the talented Mr Don Jackson Wyatt of Circle Pit.TV who joined us on the road to document all our shows with his trusty camera for a special post tour book we are working on now! Extra special thanks to our tour manager Terry Sly, Roy Jenkins @ Noise Merch and Gavin Harry at RSK Distribution who were all a pleasure to work with! Respect in rock.
