The Music Press Interview!

We would like to thank the awesome Mark Doyle and his crew at The Music Press for taking the time to chat with us and edit this interview we did with them while on our recent 'Southern Revelation' tour in the UK. The interview was filmed backstage before our show @ Moho Live in Manchester and features live footage from our show @ Le Forum in Vaureal, France shot by our good friend Tor Burrows of Notorious Design.

"Many artists often profess to do things by their rules… the honest truth is that few bands seldom do. My Ruin are a rare and welcome exception to this rule and take no prisoners when it comes down to their art. Vocalist, Tairrie B Murphy along with her musical soul mate and husband Mick Murphy are both the passion and creative force behind the band that is My Ruin.

Back with album number seven entitled ‘A Southern Revelation’, the band has released what is perhaps their most personal record to date. Taking a step away from the traditional route, the band made the whole album available as a free download by way of a thank you to the fans who have stood by them for so long as well as a firm middle finger to their former record label. Chatting with The Music Press, Tairrie and Mick discuss their views on the current music industry and give sneaky peek into the world of My Ruin."
