The Music Press Interview!

We would like to thank the awesome Mark Doyle and his crew at The Music Press for taking the time to chat with us and edit this interview we did with them while on our recent 'Southern Revelation' tour in the UK. The interview was filmed backstage before our show @ Moho Live in Manchester and features live footage from our show @ Le Forum in Vaureal, France shot by our good friend Tor Burrows of Notorious Design.

"Many artists often profess to do things by their rules… the honest truth is that few bands seldom do. My Ruin are a rare and welcome exception to this rule and take no prisoners when it comes down to their art. Vocalist, Tairrie B Murphy along with her musical soul mate and husband Mick Murphy are both the passion and creative force behind the band that is My Ruin.

Back with album number seven entitled ‘A Southern Revelation’, the band has released what is perhaps their most personal record to date. Taking a step away from the traditional route, the band made the whole album available as a free download by way of a thank you to the fans who have stood by them for so long as well as a firm middle finger to their former record label. Chatting with The Music Press, Tairrie and Mick discuss their views on the current music industry and give sneaky peek into the world of My Ruin."

Southern Revelation Tour Update 3 - Manchester!

Southern ℜevelation Tour † Update - Manchester, UK:

Played a blinding set @ Moho Live and rocked the crowd! The stage lights reminded me of something Elvis would have had back in the day and the sound was amazing. Hot in the House of God into Blasphemous Girl was insane and the new songs got a great response once again. Thank you again to everyone who came out, put your middle fingers in the air and screamed with me! Mick and I also did a fun pre show video interview with the guys from www.themusicpress.org who were awesome and had a couple killer photo shoots with our good friend and rock soldier Don 'Circlepit' Jackson-wyatt of Circle Pit who also shot us live. Can't wait to post his hot rock shots! Really looking forward to playing Scala in London town this evening and meeting my sister in rock and longtime press officer Mona Miluski of Platinum PR in person for the first time. We might even have do do something special on stage together to commemorate the occasion and celebrate our January birthday's!

Meeting up with Paul Harries this evening before the show for to sign all of our limited edition prints that everyone has purchased [thank you!]. For those of you who will be joining us, please remember there is a huge after show party / meet & greet at Nambucca [just like last year] which Nickie Hobbs and Devolution Magazine will be hosting and Ben Ward from Orange Goblin will be DJing along with Caz Mumin so make sure you keep your show ticket stub and come join us after our set! See you in the front row!
